This is a preliminary version of our Privacy Policy. The final, reviewed policy will be published here before public launch.
The minimum we need to show you events you'll care about: your email, display name, and date of birth at signup; the interests you pick; and the events, places, and people you save, follow, RSVP to, or review. If you turn on location features, we use your location to rank nearby events — you can decline and everything still works. Photos and videos you upload are stored so we can show them where you chose to share them.
To run Flowver: personalizing your feed, showing your history and stats, powering the social features you opt into, and sending the notifications you've allowed (at most one daily push — everything else waits in the bell).
We never sell your data. We don't show you ads based on tracking you around the web. We don't manipulate the feed to maximize your time in the app — Flowver is built to get you out in the world, not to keep you scrolling.
You control who sees what. Profiles, markers, pins, memories, and lists each have visibility settings (public, friends, close friends, or only you), and younger users' accounts are private by default. We share data with service providers only as needed to run Flowver (hosting, media storage), never for their own marketing.
You can export a copy of your data or permanently delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion removes your personal information and anonymizes what must be kept for integrity (for example, counts on public tallies).
Flowver enforces a minimum age at signup, and accounts for younger users get extra protections: private profiles, restricted discovery, and messaging limited to friends.
Passwords are stored hashed (never in plain text), sessions use hardened HttpOnly cookies, and access to production data is restricted. No system is perfect — if we learn of a breach affecting you, we will tell you.
If we make material changes, we will tell you in the app before they take effect.
